All bids shall be made on “Bid Form” which is bound in the Project Manual. Bids shall be accompanied with a “Bid Bond”, in the amount of 5% of the Contractor’s bid.
A performance bond and labor and materials payment bond is required for this project.
Contractors shall exclude Nebraska State Sales tax on all materials incorporated into this project.
One contract for construction will be awarded for this project, including all general construction, mechanical and electrical work.
The project shall be bid, contracted and constructed in strict conformance with the Contract Documents, including the Drawings and Project Manual.
Work shall commence within seven (7) days after the Owner issues a “Notice to Proceed”.
Owner would like to see Substantial Completion of the Project by December 15, 2011.
The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities and to accept or reject any or all bids, as he feels may best serve his interests.
The Architect may modify, correct, alter, delete, add or clarify any portion of the Contract Documents, prior to receipt of bids by issued “Addendum” to all contract bidders. Contractors shall denote receipt of “Addendum” on the Bid Form.
Contractor agrees to hold his bid “firm” for 45 days from the date of receipt of bids.
Contractors should inspect the site and premises prior to submitting a bid. For access to building, make prior arrangements with the City Clerk – Vicki Miller, City of Elgin, NE 402-843-5822.
