PRIMARY AND GENERAL ELECTION NOTICE OF OFFICES TO BE FILLED BY ELECTION AND FILING DEADLINES
I, Carolyn Pedersen, Antelope County Clerk/Election Commissioner, hereby give notice of the offices to be filled by election that will appear on the 2014 Primary Election Ballot to be held May 13, 2014, in Antelope County, Nebraska, as per State Statute 32-601.  Notice is also given that the filing deadline for such offices are:  February 18, 2014 for incumbents and March 3, 2014, for non-incumbents.  An incumbent is anyone serving in an elective office, even if they are filing for an office other than the one in which they are presently serving, these individuals are required to file by February 18, 2014.
Name of offices for the Primary Election (Vote for One unless otherwise indicated):  PARTISAN OFFICES: SENATORIAL OFFICE – United States Senator – 6 yr. term.  CONGRESSIONAL OFFICE – Representative in Congress – District 3 – 2 yr. term.  STATE OFFICES – 4 yr. term – Governor and Lieutenant Governor; State Treasurer; Auditor of Public Accounts; Secretary of State; Attorney General.  OTHER STATE OFFICES – NONPARTISAN –For Member of the State Board of Education – District 6 – 4 yr. term; Northeast Community College For Board of Governors-District 1 – 4 yr. term; COUNTY PARTISAN OFFICES – 4 yr. term – County Clerk; Clerk of the District Court; County Treasurer; County Sheriff; County Attorney; County Assessor; County Surveyor; County Supervisor District 1, 3, 5, and 7; Delegates to County Convention – 2 yr. term.  NONPARTISAN OFFICES – Antelope County Airport Authority Board Member-6 yr. term (Vote for up to Two);  CITY OFFICES – City of Neligh – 4 yr. term – Mayor (Vote for One), Council Members At Large (Vote for up to Two); City of Tilden – 4 yr. term – Mayor (Vote for One), Council Members At Large (Vote for up to Three); City of Elgin – 4 yr. term – Mayor (Vote for One), Council Members – Ward 1 (Vote for One), Ward 2 (Vote for One); ANTELOPE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICTS FOR BOARD MEMBER (Class III) (Vote for up to Three unless otherwise indicated) Clearwater Public School District 6 – 4 yr. term; Orchard Public School District 49 – 4 yr. term; Neligh/Oakdale Public School District 9- 4 yr. term; Elgin Public School District 18 – 4 yr. term; Elgin Public School District 18 – 2 yr. term – (Vote for up to TWO);  OTHER SCHOOL DISTRICTS WITHIN ANTELOPE COUNTY (Class III) (Vote for up to Three unless otherwise indicated) Boone Central Schools District 1 – 4 yr. term; Plainview Public School District 5 – 4 yr. term; Creighton Public School District 13 – 4 yr. term; Elkhorn Valley Public School District 80 – 4 yr. term; NATURAL RESOURCE DISTRICT FOR BOARD OF DIRECTORS – 4 yr. term (Vote for One unless otherwise indicated) – Upper Elkhorn NRD-Subdistrict 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and At Large; Lower Elkhorn NRD-Subdistrict 1 and At Large.
