Funeral Service for Norma  Koinzan, age 93 of O’Neill and Bartlett were held Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Christ Lutheran Church in O’Neill, NE with Pastor John Ryding, officiating.  Music was provided by Janet Grosch, Organist and The Quartet.
Pallbearers were Steven Schrunk, Jim Havel, Dennis Derner, David Mignery, Ken Pelster, and Larry Day.
Burial was in Bartlett Cemetery. Visitation was 5 to 7 pm Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater.
Norma passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Golden Living Center in Neligh.
Snider Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrange-ments.
Memorials may be directed to Asera Care Hospice in O’Neill.
Norma E. Koinzan was born on July 31, 1921 to Pearl and H.M. Summers in Chambers, NE.
She grew up in Antelope and Wheeler Counties, graduating with the class of 1938 from Wheeler County High School.
On October 11, 1941, she was united in marriage to  Fred Koinzan at Hartington, NE.  They were married for 61 years.  They lived on the family ranch on the Beaver Valley, northeast of Bartlett.
She taught in several rural grade schools.  Norma was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Beaver Val-ley Women’s Club, Nebraska Extension Service, 4-H leader, Trinity Lutheran Church, Christ Lutheran Church, Lutheran Ladies Aide, Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.  She was an avid reader, liked crocheting and needlework and crafting.
She is survived by daughter Norine and husband John Prim of Lakewood, OH and Rick and wife, Carol Koinzan of Bartlett, NE, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren, daughter in law, Karen Koinzan of Lincoln, NE and sister-in-law Mary Ann Summers of Burwell, NE. Preceded in death by parents, husband Fred (2002),  son Mick Koinzan,  siblings Harry (infancy), Lois Day, and Lavern Summers.
