Nominations are now being accepted for the Elgin Review ‘Good Neighbor Award’ to be presented during Vetch Days.
This will mark the first year the newspaper has sponsored the award.
It will be presented annually during Vetch Days to an Elgin area resident, man or woman, who exemplifies the spirit of community, working for the benefit of others without seeking personal gain or reward.
“It’s time we recognize those in our community who make Elgin a great place to live and work,” Publisher Dennis Morgan said in announcing the award.
The winner will receive $50 in Elgin Bucks and ride in the Vetch Days parade.

The deadline for nominations will be Wednesday, June 22.
