New NPPD Transmission Line to Support Trans-Canada Pipeline

Representatives from Nebraska Public Power District met with elected officials, community, businesses and industry leaders today in Petersburg and Ericson to begin the process of building an electric transmission line in the area. The new 115,000-volt (115 kV) line will run from a substation near Petersburg to a substation near Ericson, approximately 36 miles. The final route of the new transmission line has not been determined.
