Funeral Services for Neta Lee Jones, age 80, of Elgin, NE were 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater with Pastor Toni Nolze officiating.  Music was provided by Bob Sisson and Rita Kester.  Burial followed in the Clearwater Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Thomas Jones, Jaxson Jones, Jed Jones, Cam Knopik, Kevin Rittscher, Gale Rittscher, and Gary Siems.  Honorary Pallbearers were Connie Jones, Macy Jones, and Kati Jones.
Visitation was 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater.
Neta Lee passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Faith Regional Hospital in Norfolk, NE.

Neta Lee Jones was born on July 16, 1937 to Fred and Evalena (Jefferies) Maben in Omaha, NE.  She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in O’Neill with the Class of 1954.
After graduation she began her teaching career.  On March 29, 1959 she was united in marriage to Jack Jones in Albion, NE.  She went on to get her Teaching Degree from Wayne State College.
Through the years she taught at several schools in the area.  Jack and Neta Lee farmed southwest of Clearwater, where they raised their children.
Neta Lee enjoyed reading, playing cards, golfing, and going to Jammin’ at the Neligh Senior Center.  She served on the Clearwater Public School Board and was a member of the Clearwater United Methodist Church where she would often play the organ.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Jones of Elgin, NE.  Three children and five grandchildren:  Rocky and Judy Jones of Geneva, NE, their children Thomas and Kati Jones, Connie Jones and fiance Cam Knopik, and Macy Jones.  Daughter, Jody Jones of Phoenix, AZ. Son, Jack and Debbie Jones of Genoa, NE and their children Jaxson and Jed Jones.  Sister-in-law Anneliese Maben.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Thomas Jones;  brother, Galen Maben; mother-in-law, Bernice Brown; father-in-law, Jack Jones; sister-in-law, Bette (Richard) Brandt.
