Nebraska Power Review Board to Act on Prairie Breeze Application

Having been approved for a conditional use permit by the Antelope County Board of Superviosrs, the next hurdle for Prairie Breeze Wind Energy is the Nebraska Power Review Board (NPRB).
Prairie Breeze has submitted a special general application to the NPRB to be granted the authority to construct a 200-Megawatt wind turbine electric generation facility and a 25-mile 230 kilovolt transmission interconnection line in Antelope, Boone and Madison Counties, Nebraska.
According to NPRB materials made available to The Elgin Review, the line will connect the collector system substation to the point of interconnection at the Nebraska Public Power District’s planned 230 kilovolt switchyard near the Village of Meadow Grove.
