Mueller Defeats McWhorter By Two To One Margin

With just one contested county race, Antelope County voters went to the polls Tuesday to cast their ballots in the primary election.
For Republicans, which make up the majority of registered voters in the county, they were asked to decide between two candidates for the position of Antelope County Assessor. When all the votes were counted, former deputy county assessor Kelly Mueller recorded a decisive victory over her one-time boss and current County Assessor Heather McWhorter. Unofficial vote totals Tuesday night showed Mueller with 1,033 votes while McWhorter had 505 votes.
By virtue of the victory, Mueller will advance to the general election where, at the present time, she is unopposed for the position.
