Melvina R. “Dodi” Mack, 78 of Elgin, NE, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018 at her home in Elgin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, December 14, 2018 at St. Boniface Church in Elgin, with Rev. Kevin Vogel officiating. Interment will follow at the Oakdale Cemetery, Oakdale.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the church, with a 7 p.m. wake service.
Huffman-Levander Funeral Home of Elgin is in charge of arrangements.

Melvina Rae “Dodi” Mack, daughter of Harold “Johnny” Tierney and Lavaugne “Lou” (Wheeler) Tierney McKay was born on April 24, 1940 at Arcata, California.
She attended Elgin Public School and was baptized into St. Boniface Church, July 1957.
On March 2, 1957 Dodi was united in marriage to Brian T. Mack at Amarillo, TX.
The couple lived at Sunny Mead, CA until 1960 when they moved to Elgin where they raised their two sons Randy and Rod.
Dodi painted and cleaned homes while raising her family and on into later years.
She also enjoyed bowling with her sisters, Wednesday card club with friends, fishing and black powder rendezvous and helping in the body shop with her husband Brian.
Her passion for the community led her to the VFW Legion Auxiliary, Christian Mothers, Red Hatters, Antelope County Election Board, and an incredible commitment to the Community Center as a board member.
All duties aside, Dodi loved most her family and their shopping get togethers!
Dodi is survived by her husband of 61 years Brian of Elgin; two sons: Randy of Elgin; Rod (Lisa) of Selma, TX; five grandchildren: Chris Mack of Orchard, NE; Jessi (Jeremy) Woslager of Clearwater, NE; Dylan (Randi) Mack of Royal, NE; Casey (Jenna) Mack of The Woodlands, TX; and Aaron Mack of Austin, TX; nine great-grandchildren: Lane and Faith Woslager; Synclare, Jozlynne, Elwood, Carson, McKenna, Raegann, and Lincoln Mack; one great-great granddaughter Ansley Tomjack; two sisters: Donna Iburg and family of Petersburg; Vicki (Duane) Miller and family of Elgin; brother-in-law Terry Reisinger of Grass Valley, CA; sister-in-law Judy Brown of Sacramento, CA; along with many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Ron Tierney.
