Mary Christine Eischeid, daughter of Ronald Henry and Linda Jean (Ridder) Eischeid, was born April 9, 1968 at Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Boniface Catholic Church. She attended Elgin Public and St. Boniface Schools, graduating from Pope John High School in 1986. She attended Northeast Community College at Norfolk studying business and finance.
Mary worked at Walmart and Menards in Norfolk before returning to Elgin in 2003.
She worked at the Jack and Jill store in Neligh until it closed, then worked at The Station, Getz Grocery and Dean’s Market in Elgin. She loved working at Dean’s Market: Dean and Kim Schrage and the people that came in the store were very special to Mary.
She was a member of St. Boniface Church, St. Boniface Altar Society and was a former circle leader. She was a big fan of all sports, but especially Husker Football. She enjoyed reading, seeing Def Leopard and Poison in concert, frogs and her cat Sweet Cheeks.
Mary is survived by her parents Ronald “Red” and Linda Eischeid of Elgin; two brothers: Joe (Jess) Eischeid and Michael (Angie) Eischeid, all of Tilden; one sister: Tammy Seier of Albion; along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister Stephanie Eischeid in 1993; and her grandparents: Lawrence and Irene Ridder, and Joe and Angela Eischeid.
