Funeral services for Marjorie Currie age 80 of Elgin were at 10:30 am,  Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the Park Congregational U.C.C. Church with Pastor Janet Davis and Pastor Wayne Smith officiating. Music was provided by Joanne Anderson, Organist Joanne Anderson and Terry Johnson, Soloist.  Burial followed  in the Park Cemetery.      Pallbearers were Damon Lichtblau, Kyle Sprout, Kevin Sprout, Keith Clark, Gary Clark, and Richard Kinney.
Marjorie passed away at the Golden Living Center in Neligh on May 12, 2012.

Marjorie  Joyce Currie was born on September 18, 1931 at Elgin to Leland and Mildred (Manson)Clark.  She attended and graduated High School from Elgin High with the class of 1949.  On June 10, 1951 she was united in marriage to Roger Currie at the Park Church, to this union two children were born, a son Brian and a daughter Beverly Jean.  Beverly passed away in 2003.  They made their home on the farm west of Elgin where she loved gardening and mowing the farm.  She was a member of the Sandhills Homemakers Club, a past member of Park Congregational U.C.C. church until 1985 when they started attending the Full Gospel Assembly of God church in Ewing.
Survivors include her husband, son Brian of Elgin, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, a brother Merland Clark of Kearney, Ne.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Beverly Jean and a brother Kenneth Clark. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.snidermemorialfh.com
