Public Hearing Part of City Council Meeting Monday

The Elgin City Council will meet in regular session on Monday night Nov. 5.
Scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m., the Council will consider action on the following items:
• Platting of lots — Janet Koinzan
• Driveway off Bowen Street to Homestead
• Loaning or renting recycling trailer
• Purchasing backflow device for large projects
• Complaints on junk
• Selling police department radar unit
• Building permits for Leigh Kluthe and Ron Beckman
Also, as part of the meeting, a public hearing will be held for the discussion of the engineering report on the water supply, storage and distribution system as required for the State Revolving Loan Funding from the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality and other funding agencies.
The purpose of this public hearing is to discuss the Preliminary Engineering Report and the potential impacts to the City of Elgin and its water rates.
All local citizens and any other interested parties, governmental agencies or groups are encouraged to attend.
A copy of the report will be made available for public inspection at the meeting.
All persons interested in the findings of the report are invited to appear and express their views.  Written statements may submitted prior to or at the time of the hearing.
