The famous young “Clearwater Elk” as featured in the Nebraskaland magazine in 2007 takes up residence at Sandhill Seasons Guest Ranch & Hunts from about January through May. For the last three years or so Mike Dwyer has been watching him roam the hills on his ranch in Wheeler County east of Bartlett, NE. This year he saw him one week with his antlers and on Monday of the next week he saw him without any. Mike was fortunate enough to find both sheds. The elk is still on Dwyer’s land but soon, by the end of May if he holds true to form, he will again end up around Merle Sehi’s farm south of Clearwater. Photo submitted
