Dan Hill of Grand Island will appear on the Nov. 2 general election ballot as an independent candidate in the 3rd Congressional District, according to Secretary of State John Gale.
Hill qualified for the ballot by petition after securing 2,000 signatures of registered voters in the district as required by law.
Hill will oppose Republican incumbent Adrian Smith of Gering and Democrat Rebekah Davis of Alliance.
