Working together. That’s what the EKG group and the Elgin Community Club will be doing on Saturday, Oct. 6.
The second annual EKG Red Out Cookout Tailgate will be held at the newly-constructed firehall building in Elgin, allowing fans of Husker football to gather together to watch the Nebraska-Ohio State football game. Fans will be able to view the game outside on a large screen similar to last year’s tailgate event, or on televisions set up inside the fire hall. There will be a beer garden. All ages are welcome, there will be a ‘fun zone’ for the kids.
Gates will open at 4 p.m., kickoff will be at 7 p.m. There will be game pools and an auction (signed footballs of Nebraska football players) during the game. The Elgin Community Club will be serving food at the event.
