89th Annual Thanksgiving Bazaar To Be Thursday

The 89th annual St. Boniface Parish Thanksgiving Bazaar is just days away.
The event will be held this Thursday, November 28, at St. Boniface Gymnasium in Elgin.
Dating back to the 1920s, the event has brought families, friends and neighbors together to enjoy fine food and fellowship.
The traditional menu will feature turkey & dressing, original special recipe sausage, potatoes and gravy, sauerkraut & ribs, cranberry salad, jello salad, homemade pies & desserts, corn and dinner rolls.
The serving line will open up at 11 a.m. and continue til 3 p.m. There will be no evening meal served. Winners of the raffle drawing will be announced at 4 p.m.
The bazaar dates back to 1924 when the meal cost just 50 cents. While the price has risen some since those early years, one thing has remained the same — parish members working together for the good of the church and community.
