Loan Funds Available for New City Water Well

The Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality (NDEQ) last week issued a ‘Finding of No Significant Impact’ (FNSI) for the proposed new water well being considered by the City of Elgin.
The City of Elgin has applied for funding for a rpelacement well and distribution system improvements with a projected cost of more than $1.4 million. Seeking funding through the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) program, NDEQ has announced that the City of Elgin would be eligible for more than $1.166 million of which more than $290,000 would be forgiven.
