April 1, 2013
The Elgin City Council met in regular session on Monday, April 1, 2013, at 7:30 p.m., pursuant to posted notice.  Mayor Schmitt called the meeting to order, and announced the location of the Open Meeting Act.  Council members present were Shirley Nissen, Don Mackel, Kenny Jochum and Jim Kittelson.

•    Sheriff  to inform camper that all past due fees need to be paid and fees paid in advance or be removed
Discussions were held:
•    Regarding the wind tower project with Dennis O’Mara project engineer with Blattner Energy
•    Signing contracts with DEQ
•    ADA Policy Statement for Nebraska Department of Roads
•    Stop signs ordered but not in
•    Participating in a study to possibly reduce arsenic levels in the water
•    Non-payment of drainage ditch on Bowen Street by property owner
•    Sheriff’s Report-99 hours and 53 minutes and 5-911 calls.
•    Complaints on dogs to be discussed at May meeting
•    Moving north fence at tree site
•    Bunker locations
•    Next regular meeting will be held on May 6, 2013
•    Meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
