So you’ve always wanted to know how to make the perfect pie crust? Here’s your chance to find out the secrets of the trade.
“Demos By Those We Know Know” – cooking demonstrations – will be held on Monday, March 8 at the Elgin Knights of Columbus Hall.
The evening will kickoff with a salad bar meal accompanied by flavored teas and coffee beginning at 6:30. After you’ve enjoyed the tasty salads, you’ll be entertained by several local “experts” sharing their tips on making homemade bread, pie crust, pie fillings, meringue and tea while sitting back and enjoying the refreshments. Tickets are $10 and are now available on at Dean’s Market, Elgin Review, Julie Borer (843-5528) and Janice Esau (843-5442). The event is being sponsored by the St. Boniface Altar Society.
