Larry J. Henn, 69, of Petersburg, passed away Monday, August 27, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his family.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, August 31, 2018 at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Petersburg, with Fr. Mark Tomasiewicz officiating.
Burial followed at the parish cemetery with military rites by Petersburg American Legion Post # 334.

Larry Joseph Henn, son of Harold Arthur and Helen Ann (Berger) Henn was born January 28, 1949 at Tilden.; He was baptized and confirmed at St. Bonaventure Church at Raeville, and attended school at St. John’s Berchmans until the eighth grade, graduating from Petersburg Public School in 1968.;
On April 15, 1969 Larry entered the United States Army and was honorably discharged on April 4, 1971.
Larry was united in marriage to Shirley F. Camp on April 15, 1972 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Petersburg.
The couple lived in Elgin, Madison, and Primrose before moving to a farm near Petersburg in 1977. Larry farmed his entire life and from 1997 to 2007 he also owned and operated the Andres Store in Petersburg.
Larry was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Petersburg, NE. He was also a lifetime member of the Petersburg American Legion Post #334 and the Petersburg Community Club. He loved spending time with his family and was especially proud of his 12 grandchildren.; Larry truly enjoyed his annual fishing trips with his family and friends, as well as his trips to the casino, especially the winning ones.
Larry is survived by his wife Shirley of Petersburg; four children and 12 grandchildren: Marty (Stacy) and their children: Blake, Chloe, and Max of Elgin; Holly (Rick) Myers and Lane and Cooper of North Loup, NE; Megan (Lucas) Dannelly and McKenna, Abbey, and Gianna of Omaha, NE; Patrick (Nicole) and Madison, Mason, Ainsley, and Ali of Hickman, NE; mother Helen Henn of Albion, NE; five brothers: Harold, Jr. of Petersburg; Randy (Connie) of Elgin; Nick (Wendy) of Neligh, NE; Ken (Tina) of Petersburg; and Tim of St. Edward, NE; six sisters: Pat Evans of Elgin; Rose (Dave) Simons of Creighton, NE; Sharon (Dwaine) Seier of Genoa, NE; Jeanie (Leon) Seier of Spalding, NE; Darlene Henn of Battle Creek, NE; Mary Jo (Gary) Priester of Omaha, NE; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Bill (Phyllis) Camp of Elgin; Jim Camp of Kansas City, KS; Meg (Jerry) Krause of Omaha; Eileen Tiede of Omaha; Dave (Charlene) Camp of Albion; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and life long friends.;
He was preceded in death by his father Harold and infant brother James; parents-in-law Jerome and Louise Camp; in-laws: Charles Tiede, Bob and Lois Camp, Cathy Camp, and Don and Kathy Starman.
