Kyle Heithoff, Corin Pelster Receive Nebraska Banker’s Assoc. Scholarships

Kyle Heithoff of Elgin and Corin Pelster of Bartlett were recognized by the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Department of Agricultural Economics and the Nebraska Bankers Association at a dinner at the Nebraska East Union.

Heithoff and Pelster both received scholarships from the NBA and are an agricultural banking and finance majors in the Department of Agricultural Economics.  The program was established through the joint efforts of the department and the NBA. It was created to prepare college students for a career in agriculture lending and fill agricultural lending roles in rural communities.

 The program also includes a paid ten-week bank management training internship. Through the internship, students gain banking and agricultural lending experience at a Nebraska bank.
