Kid’s Shopping Day/Christmas Fair Approaching

Children, you better not pout cause Santa Claus is coming to Elgin soon, real soon!
Santa Claus will make his first appearance in Elgin on Wednesday evening, Dec. 7, at the KC Hall. Members of the Elgin Volunteer Fire Department will escort Santa to a gathering of children of all ages as part of the Kid’s Shopping & Christmas Fair sponsored annually by the Elgin Community Club. Santa is scheduled to arrive at the KC Hall at 6 p.m. where, after making his way to the stage, he will visit with children to learn what they want for Christmas.

Kid’s shopping will be from 4 to 8 p.m. that evening, Vendors will include Dean’s Market, Elgin Pharmacy, Avon – Barb Mahnke, Hometown Station, Dollar $tore & More, Total Image Salon & Spa, Avon – Karen Koenig, Central Valley Hardware, Sandy Kallhoff/Celebrating Home, Kathy Dinslage/Pampered Chef, Elgin Bargain Box, and many more.

Adult shopping will run from 7 to 8 p.m.

Local consultants with holiday good to sell (cash & carry items) will be at the Elgin Community Center. They include Sewing Creations – Emily Borer, Mary & Martha – Rachel Becker, Scentsy – Connie Henn, Tastefully Simple/Do Terra – Bethany Miller, Pampered Chef – Kathy Dinslage, Recycled, Repurposed Creations – Teresa Schindler & Connie Henn, Creations by KM – Kristina Sehi, County Line Cakes – Ginni Fangman, Avon – Karen Koenig, Knitty Pretty/Matilda Jane Clothing – Lindy Borer, PJ Junior Class Bake Sale for Prom – Junior Class, Paparazzi Jewelry and Accessories – Sarah Peters, and Rodan and Fields – Heather Veik.

Women of the Park Center Church will again serve soup, sandwiches and bars from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the KC Hall.
