With Thanksgiving a mere two weeks away, it’s time to also start thinking about Christmas!!The 2013 Kid’s Shopping Day will be here before you know it. This year’s date is December 4 and it will again be held at the Elgin Knights of Columbus Hall. Doors open at 4 pm for kids to come shop. Park Center Church ladies will be serving soup, sandwiches & bars from 4 pm to 7:4 5pm. The highlight for the kids will be when Santa arrives at 6 pm, escorted by Elgin Fire & Rescue.
Among the vendors on hand for shopping will be: Dean’s Market. Elgin Pharmacy & Gifts, Avon – Barb Mahnke, The Station, Total Image Salon & Spa, Donna Elliot, Avon – Karen Koenig, Central Valley Hardware, Celebrate Home – Sandy Kallhoff to name a few.
Chairperson for the annual Elgin Community Club event is Teresa Moore.
