ELGIN — Every basketball player dreams at one time of making a buzzer-beater to give his team a victory.
Junior Regan Kerkman’s 10-footer as time expired Thursday night gave the Wolfpack a come-from-behind 63 to 61 victory over Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family.
Down by seven points at the end of the third quarter, 45 to 38, the Wolfpack outscored the Bulldogs 13 to six to tie the score at 51-all on a basket by Jake Eischeid. Kyle Heithoff had five points in the run.
