A benefit for David Peters will be held Saturday, May 17 at the Elgin KC Hall.
Food will be served from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Free will donations will be accepted.
Dave was diagnosed with cancer in December of 2013. He did his first round of chemotherapy and radiation soon after. He is currently on his second course of chemotherapy right now.
Although insurance covers a lot of Dave’s medical expenses, it does not cover everything. All proceeds from this event will help with any medical and living expenses while he fights this battle.
At the benefit there will be raffles throughout the evening as well.
