Services for Judy Rosemary (Werner) Beckman, 70, of Lindsay, were held Monday, June 6, at 10 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Lindsay. Burial followed in the Holy Family Church Cemetery, with Rev. Jim Novotny, Rev. Martin Beckman, and Deacon Louis Dohmen officiating.
Visitation was held Sunday at Holy Family Church, with a prayer service.
She died on June 1 at the Golden Living Center in Norfolk, after a long battle with cancer.

Judy was born on July 14, 1945, in Humphrey, to Marion and Rosalia (Dohmen) Werner.   She attended Holy Family School in Lindsay, graduating in 1963.   After graduation she worked at Dugans Grocery Store in Lindsay.
In 1964 she moved to Omaha and was employed at the Omaha National Bank from 1964 to 1966.
On September 6, 1965, Judy married Larry Beckman of Elgin at Holy Family Church in Lindsay.   They lived in Omaha until 1967, when they moved to Lindsay.
Judy was a housewife until 1978, when she was then employed at the Bank of Lindsay.  She retired from the bank on December 23, 2011, after 34 years.
Judy enjoyed sewing, crocheting, traveling on a motorcycle with Larry, and camping with family and friends.  She belonged to the Holy Family Guild, the American Legion Auxiliary, was a Girl Scout leader, was bookkeeper for Holy Family Church for several years, worked at the plant project, and loved spending time with family.   Judy always put others above herself.
Judy is survived by her spouse, Larry, and their 3 children and spouses:  Cheryl (Steve) Petroski of Omaha, Terry (Sue) Beckman of Norfolk, and Denise (Pat) Brockhaus of Humphrey; 8 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her six sisters and two brothers and their spouses:  Bonnie (Larry) Schumacher of Omaha, Marie (John) Borgmann of Norfolk, Joan (Ken) Stone of Lindsay, Mariam (Dan) Henggeler of Columbus, Gene (Sue) Werner of Lindsay, Jane (Paul) Frauendorfer of Madison, Ray (Carla) Werner of Firth, and Ann (Dean) Preister of Humphrey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Joe and Walter Werner; and brother-in-law, Henry Aase.
