Nearly a year ago, Elgin’s lone car dealership, Blair Motors, closed its doors. The east side of the downtown appeared bare as there were no cars or trucks on the lot.
Fast forward to today, Jonny Dodge of Neligh is now selling new and used vehicles in Elgin.
Duane Esau, who had worked for Blair Motors and took a job with Jonny Dodge last December, said Friday the Elgin location is now open two days a week. Business hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, he said the office is open by appointment. “We’re only 15 minutes away,” Esau said about being able to meet with customers by appointment.
The Elgin location will feature a full line of new and pre-owned cars and trucks. Featured brands are Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep, but Esau said, “We can get anything you want.”
