INVITATION TO BID
Sealed Proposals for the supply and delivery of road gravel and sand to 3 separate sites in Antelope County “2014 Asphalt Overlay for Antelope County, Nebraska,” JEO Project No. R110207.00, will be received by the County Clerk at the County Court House, Neligh, Nebraska, until 10:00 AM on the 5th day of November, 2013, and thereafter will be read aloud.
The work consists of the following approximate quantities:
Group 1 – 5 miles of 531 Ave (not continuous) starting at Highway 20 and extending south 854 Road. To include up to approximately 12,000 cubic yards of Sand and 2500 cubic yards of Road Gravel.
Group 2 – 3 miles of 849 Road between 529 Ave and 532 Ave and 1 mile of 525 Ave between Highway 275 and 2nd Street in Neligh. To include up to approximately 9600 cubic yards of sand and 2000 cubic yards of road gravel.
Group 3 – 1 mile of 511 Ave between 835 and 836 Road. To include up to approximately 2400 cubic yards of sand and 500 cubic yards of road gravel.
Bidders are not required to bid all 3 groups and may bid any single group or combination of the groups they wish. The award will be based on the lowest combination of the 3 groups and may be awarded to a single or multiple contractors. The County may also award individual groups without awarding the other group or groups.
Proposals will be taken for said construction work listed above by unit prices, as an aggregate bid for the entire project.
All Proposals for said construction work must be made on blanks furnished by the Engineer and must be accompanied by Bid Security of not less than 5% of the total amount bid. Bid Security to be made payable to the Treasurer of Antelope County as liquidated damages in case the bid is accepted and the bidder neglects or refuses, to enter into contract and furnish bond in accordance herewith.
Bid Documents may be inspected at the office of the County Clerk, Neligh, Nebraska, and will be issued by JEO Consulting Group, Inc., Consulting Engineers, PO Box 1424, 803 W Norfolk Avenue, Norfolk, NE 68702, a payment of $20.00 to cover partial cost, none of which will be returned, needs to be paid prior to plans and specifications being sent out. In order to bid the project, the plans and specifications must be issued directly by JEO Consulting Group, Inc. to the bidder.
The County Board Chairperson and County Board, reserves the right to waive informalities and irregularities and to make awards on bids which furnish the materials and construction that will, in their opinion serve the best interests of Antelope County, and also reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids.
