Modern technology will allow persons to perform many of their banking transactions from their home computers.
Dave Sullivan, president of the Bank of Elgin, announced Friday that online banking is now available to customers.
“They’ll be able to access all their accounts, check their loan payments and see their checks as they come in,” he said Friday morning.
Customers can register for the service online, he said, or they can come into the bank and receive assistance.
The bank’s website address is www.bankofelgin.net.
Sullivan said the decision to move forward with online banking was to provide better service to its’ customers.
