The Homestead Service Coordinator’s (HSC) office will again offer free Medicare Prescription Drug Plan counseling. Open enrollment runs from Oct. 15 through Dec. 7, and beneficiaries may make changes in drug plans as well as Medicare Advantage plans. Seniors should have recently received their Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) from their drug plans and it’s important they read and understand the changes.
The HSC receives training from the Nebraska Department of Insurance and Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) and counseling is free, confidential and unbiased. Drug plan comparison counseling will be available by calling (402) 843-2280 for an appointment.
