Hildegarde M. Henn, 93 formerly of Petersburg, NE passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the Boone County Health Center in Albion, NE.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Petersburg, NE, with Rev. Stan Schmit officiating. Interment followed at the parish cemetery.

Hildegarde Margaret Henn, daughter of Urban and Anna (Hahn) Metz, was born June 12, 1921 near Petersburg, NE. She grew up on the family farm east of Petersburg and attended school at St. John the Baptist Catholic School.
After receiving her education, she worked for neighbors doing housekeeping and caring for children.
On October 6, 1942, Hildegarde was united in marriage to Alvin Henn at St. John the Baptist Church in Petersburg, NE.
The couple made their home on a farm near Petersburg and after a few years moved to town.
Hildegarde moved to Samaritan Estates Assisted Living in Albion, NE in 2005, and in 2010, entered the Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Home in Albion.
She was a member of St. John’s Christian Mothers, and a lifelong member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, growing flowers, crocheting, embroidery, crafts and loved spending time with her family.
Hildegarde is survived by her three daughters: Barb (Phil) Stuhr of Elgin, NE; Judy (Ron) Johnson of Elgin, NE; Joan (Bob) Traphagan of Madison, NE; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Alvin in 1996; a sister Catherine Veik and a brother Alfred Metz.
