A ceremonial groundbreaking for the Laredo Ridge Wind project will be held Wednesday, July 21, in Petersburg.
Representatives from Midwest Wind Energy, Laredo Ridge Wind LLC and Nebraska Public Power District made the announcement last week.
The event will be held at Werner Hall in Petersburg. Governor Dave Heineman is scheduled to attend. Also scheduled to participate in the event are Ron Asche, president & CEO of the Nebraska Public Power District; Mike Donahue, executive vice president of Midwest Wind Energy; and Ron Litzinger, CEO of Edison Mission Group.
