The newly appointed Nebraska Department of Roads’ Director, Monty Fredrickson, released last week the fiscal year 2010 Surface Transportation Program. This program reflects how the Roads Department allocates the taxpayer’s highway user dollars to provide the best statewide highway system possible for all Nebraskans and the traveling public.
The 2010 State Highway System program is published at $487 million and is funded from state and federal highway user fees and includes $162 million of federal funds made available by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009.
