While the weather outside was somewhat stormy, inside the Elgin Knights of Columbus Hall, friends and family of the Joe Nitzel family enjoyed good food and fellowship. The Elgin Knights hosted a spaghetti feed benefit for the Nitzels. 18 month old Jase is dealing with a still undiagnosed digestive problem. The continuing doctor visits have forced Joe to quit his job while mom Frances continues to work, trying to get as many hours as she can to still earn some money for the family.
