Friday is Last Day to Buy Steak Fry Tickets

A long-standing tradition for the Elgin community will be held this coming Saturday evening, August 18.  The annual Elgin Steak Fry, hosted by the Elgin Community Club, will kick off at 6 pm with a social hour at Floberts, located north and east of Elgin. This year, The Steel Steed will be manning the cash bar which will remain open throughout the evening.
Beginning at 7 p.m., rib eye steaks will start coming off the grill. Accompanying the steaks will be potatoes, green beans, a dinner roll and beverage.
Music this year will be provided by “DJ Alan” and he’ll be playing the best from the decades and samplings from pop, country and classic rock. As in past years, seating will be courtesy of Beckman Lumber.
Tickets are still on sale at Elgin One Stop, The Station and Dean’s Market.  Tickets will no longer be available after 3 pm on Friday.
This annual fun night under the stars is open to anyone in the community over 21 years of age. Proceeds from the evening support the Community Club and will be helpful in funding activities for the upcoming Q125.
