For seven years, she helped shape the education of students at Elgin Public Schools. Now, the estate of Dr. Gayla Fredrickson will help students from EPS and Pope John Central Catholic High School continue their education.
The Elgin Area Community Foundation’s (EACF) scholar-ship drive will benefit the next 10 years due to a donation from the Fredrickson estate. She passed away in July 2009.
