Flora Rose (Schrage) Hoefer, 90, passed away January 7, 2014 at Golden Living Center in Columbus, NE with family at her side.
She was born September 26, 1923 to Ferdinand and Anna (Klein) Schrage at Elgin, NE.
On June 12, 1944 she was united in marriage to Quentin Hoefer of Sutherland, NE at St Bonaventure Church in Raeville, NE.  They made their home south of Sutherland on the farm, where they raised their six children. They later moved into Sutherland.  In 1981 they moved to North Platte.  Following the death of her husband in 2009, she moved to Columbus, NE.
She is survived by children: Judy (Larry) Johnson of Cedar Rapids, IA; Dolores (Jim) Ohmstede of Waterloo, IA; Raymond (Gachia) Hoefer of Carmel, IN; Dennis (Kimberly) Hoefer of Columbus, NE; Joan (Dirac) Twidwell of La Monte, MO; grandchildren: David (Karla) Dalton, Eric (Michelle) Dalton, Deb (Tony) Miksa, Alicia (Adam) Messer, Luis (Ashley) Ohmstede, Michael Ohmstede, Marty Ohmstede, Whitney (Wallace Karanja) Ohmstede, Anna Hoefer, Caitlin Hoefer, Justin Hoefer, Denise (Dallas) Thelen, Dirac (Kristin) Twidwell, Josh (Sylvia Pierzak) Twidwell, Jeremiah Twidwell and 13 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by brothers Jerome Schrage of Omaha, NE; Ferd (Mona) Schrage of Petersburg, NE; and sister Bernette (Jim) Ramaekers of Bayard, IA.
She was preceded in death by husband Quentin, son Gregory in 1980, her parents, brothers Ray, Walter, Claude, Bob and infant sister Rita Ann.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Burial will be at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens.
