Finally Harvest Time

The clouds finally went away and the sun came out over the weekend to allow the fields to dry so area farmers could get into the fields to continue the fall harvest. Temperatures rose into the 60s Monday as everyone who was able was in the fields. It was a family operation in this corn field as Ben Meis operated the combine and his mother, Jodine Meis, kept up in the grain cart. There were long lines at the local elevator Monday evening as grain trucks were waiting to unload one more time before heading home at the end of the day. E-R photo
