Petersburg Wins Two Keep Nebraska Beautiful Awards

At a noon luncheon at the Lied Center in Nebraska City on Thursday, June 27, representatives from Petersburg were presented with two prestigious awards from Keep Nebraska Beautiful.
The first place ‘Deanie Anderson Outstanding Community Environmental Award’ was accepted in the zero to 2,500 population category. Also, Petersburg was chosen to receive the Deanie Anderson Outstanding Community Award Overall Winner zero to 10,000 population.
“The efforts of all local volunteers stand out when we can compete and win with the kind of competition and size we are up against,” said Bernie Cunningham.
