Minor Changes Made to District #18 Internet Policy

Meeting Wednesday night, the District #18 Board of Education approved a board policy dealing with acceptable use and Internet safety.

Minor changes were made to the policy which is reviewed on an annual basis. The policy states that in order to make its computer network and Internet access available, all students must take responsibility for appropriate and lawful use. Each student must sign a form in the student handbook agreeing to abide by all permitted uses. If any user violates the policy, the student’s access will be denied or withdrawn and the student could face additional disciplinary action.
