FFA “Feed The Farmer,” Labor Auction To Be Friday

Good labor at a great price!
That’s what farmers and ranchers will be looking for Friday night following the conclusion of the Elgin Public-Pope John vs. Clarkson-Leigh football game.
Elgin Field will be the site for the annual Elgin FFA Chapter Labor Auction.
Buyers will be able to purchase eight hours of work from an FFA member.
FFA members to be auctioned off are:
Seniors — Zoey Bergman, Chad Bode, Kenny Bush, Geoffrey Carr, Austin Dohmen, Justin Funk, A.J. Getzfred, Elianne Heilhecker, Miles Schrage, Elizabeth Selting and Kelsey Welding.
Juniors — Taralyn Baum, Heather Bauer, Lydia Behnk, Liam Heithoff, Grace Henn, Calli Krebs, Marie Meis, Hayes Miller, Lizzy Mlnarik, Nicki Payne and Cole Preister.
Sophomores — Breanna Carr, Ervin Dohmen, Kaylee Martinsen, RJ Lierman, Hunter Reestman, Leslie Nichols, Lauren Seier, Kyle Schumacher, Ally Wemhoff and Kira Widger.
Freshmen — Austin Bauer, Lane Bartak, Adam Dreger, Cade Heithoff, Tyler Iburg, Blake Hupp, Kayce Kallhoff, Faith Kinney, Olivia Lindgren, Araceli Palmer and Cory Romej.
FFA members going to the National FFA Convention will be sold as a group. They are Chad Bode, Kelsey Welding, Justin Funk, Elianne Heilhecker, Marie Meis, Cole Preister, Taralyn Baum and Kira Widger.

Earlier in the day, the FFA Chapter will hold their “Feed The Farmer” event, serving boneless cooked beef and more from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Central Valley Ag Lumber Shop. For those unable to come to town, FFA members will pack lunches to go.
