Elgin FFA received a $2,000 Working Here Fund grant for an aeroponic tower garden. The grant is provided through Farm Credit Services of America’s (FCS) Working Here Fund (WHF).
The Elgin FFA will be using the funds to enhance their greenhouse with an aeroponic tower garden. The tower garden will offer fruits and vegetables year round that will be used in the school lunch program with excess produce donated to the local senior center and to food insecure families.
