Fangman Shines On Defense At Sertoma Game

HASTINGS — Wolfpack football standout Andrew Fangman saw plenty of action Saturday at the 39th Annual Sertoma 8-Man Classic.
The all-state running back played inside linebacker for most of the game and was used sparingly on offense as the East fell to the West 36 to 14.
Fangman caught one pass for 10 yards and carried the ball three times for three yards as the West defense dominated the line of scrimmage for much of the game.
He had better success on defense as, from his inside linebacker position, he was in on a number of solo tackles and assisted on several others.
The East scored all their points in the first quarter as they took a 14 to 8 lead. However, over the final three quarters, the West outscored the East 28 to 0.
Clearwater-Orchard’s Andy Kerkman had a big game as he earned MVP offensive honors for the West team, catching six passes for 98 yards.
