Elkhorn Rural Public Power District is planning a city-wide electrical outage in Elgin early Friday morning, June 4, starting at 1:30 am.
ERPPD crews will be replacing the lightning arrestors in the Elgin city substation, which cannot be done while the substation is energized.
The duration of the electrical outage is estimated to be about 3 hours.
