EPPJ Wrestlers Finish Second at Howells Invite

HOWELLS — Eleven Wolfpack wrestlers brought home medals Saturday after competing at the Howells Invitational wrestling tournament.

Coach Doug Jones’ team had two wrestlers (Derek Henn and Nathan Anderson) place first at the tournament. Three other wrestlers (Brett Kinney, Austin Heying and Anthony Hemenway) brought home silver medals. Others earning medals were Tyler Childers and Jared Seier (third); Harley Janssen and Shane Beckman (fourth); Shane Vanis and Beau Heithoff (sixth place).

Millard South JVs won the invite with a score of 192.5 followed by the Wolfpack at 173. Other team scores were Howells 152, Wakefield 129, Lutheran High Northeast 118, Malcolm 110.5, Oakland-Craig 101, Scribner-Snyder/West Point CC 67, Battle Creek JV 56, Elkhorn South JV 48 and Clearwater-Orchard 47.
