CLEARWATER — The air outside may have been cold, but the action inside was hot as the Wolfpack varsity volleyball team split a pair of matches Thursday night.
Chambers/Wheeler Central were forced to a third set before defeating the Wolfpack 25-19, 23-225 and 25-18. Then, in the nightcap, the Wolfpack made quick work of Orchard/Clearwater in two sets by identical 25-18 scores.
Against the CWC Renegades, the sets were close. In the first set, the score was tied at 16-all. Then, behind the net play of Jordan Wietzki and Cassi Thunker and the serving of Kortney Kasselder, the Renegades outscored the Wolfpack nine to three to claim the first set.
