Saturday evening, May 12, ten seniors at Elgin High School will receive their diplomas.
The event, to be held in the school gymnasium, will begin at 5 p.m.
Valedictorian of the class is Ashley Bode. Salutatorian of the class is Connor Kinney. Both ladies will make speeches during the ceremony which is expected to last approximately one hour.
Giving the ‘Charge to the Class’ will be Pastor Ray Avidano.
Special music will be performed by students under the direction of music instructor Deb Jones.
Conferring diplomas to the graduating seniors will be District #18 Board of Education President Laurie Waterbury.
Graduating seniors, in addition to Bode and Kinney, are Dean Braband, Tre Henkenius, Cody Currah, Nash Schindler, Brian Finkral, Ryan Meis, Danny Smith and Shane Vanis
