Elgin FFA ‘Labor Auction’ is Friday Night

A sign of ‘fall’? Maybe not, but it should be.
The annual Elgin FFA Labor Auction will be held Friday night, Sept. 7, at the conclusion of the Wolfpack/CWC football game. The location for the auction, weather permitting, will be the football field.
FFA members from Elgin Public and Pope John will be auctioned to the highest bidders. Members will work for eight hours at the time and place of the buyer’s choosing. Buyers will need to arrange work time with students, provide lunch and possibly transportation for younger members.
Monies from the auction support chapter activities and student leadership development throughout the year. Examples of such activities are: local, district, state and national competitions, state and national conventions, student leadership workshops and chapter awards.
Members being auctioned are:
Seniors — Blake Anderson, Lee Bartak, Devon Baum, Shane Beckman, Michael Braband, Tyler Childers, Juliana Dunn, Alex Grosserode, Beau Heithoff, Trent Hoefer, Levi Kerkman, Kix Payne, Garet Schindler and Cordell Waterbury.
Juniors — Bailey Carpenter, Jordan Dietz, Mallory Fangman, Brandon Funk, Travis Grosserode, Brett Kinney, Allison Koenig and Corin Pelster.
Sophomores — Trent Bauer, Chrstian Dunn, Ethan Fischer, Austin Kallhoff, Jon Meis, Baylie Schiltmeyer and Tanner Welding.
Freshmen — Trey Baum, Dylan Behnk, Taven Cameron, Morgan Carpenter, Karissa Dickie, Andrew Fangman, Lexie Heithoff, Kalin Henn, Chase Preister, Seth Schumacher and Alois Warner.
Two national convention groups will be sold after all individual members. All earnings will be used to help pay for registration & housing expenses for the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis in Octobers. Those members are: Devon Baum, Trey Baum, Trent Bauer, Morgan Childers, Tyler Childers, Christian Dunn, Tanner Welding; and Ethan Fischer, Mallory Fangman, Jon Meis, Corin Pelster, Baylie Schiltmeyer and Garet Schindler.
