Little over a year after it’s formation, the Paul and Karen Seger Family Fund recently made a significant donation to the Elgin Endowment Fund.
Their donation – combined with ones made by Terry & Michele Reicks, Dave & Marilyn Sehi, Jerry & Lita Tunink, Jerome & Bernice Roth, Randy & Linda Mitchell and “anonymous” – qualified Elgin for the last matching amount as part of the Hunt Challenge Grant. The Hunt family donated an additional $5,000 to the Elgin Endowment Fund in response to the donations. To date, the Hunt Family has donated $35,000 to the Elgin Endowment Fund.
Donations to the Endowment Fund have surpassed $100,225, spokesperson Anne Parks said Tuesday.
