The circus is coming to town, the circus is coming to town! The District #18 Board of Education, meeting Wednesday night, approved a request from the Elgin Koed Group (EKG) for school property east of the gymnasium to be the location of a circus coming to town in July.
Other items of note from last week’s meeting were:
AD Report — Michael Becker told board members about spring sports numbers. He said athletes out for track is approximately 36. “We’re struggling to find jerseys to fit everybody,” he said. The first track meet will be Monday, March 27, at Fullerton.
As for golf, Becker said nine are out for the sport. The first golf meet will be held April 4 at Summerland Golf Course.
